if i were a painter…

Alas…. i have no personal stories to tell.

Over summer, there were 6 people (ALL MALE! what’s this, guys being more anxious to settle down? Who says men are commitment phobic??!) I knew who got engaged.

One was S, he met his fiance last December, they went out 3 months later, and he proposed 3 months after that.
Another friend (also S) was more terror, he met his fiance in Easter time, and proposed 5 months later. And she’s American, and he’s British, and they’ve only been together in the same place for like 3 weeks.
2 are Malaysians who’ve been dating for over 5 years now… so gotta give it to them…. bout time. And the relationships were long distance too! Who says it doesn’t always work? (well personally, it’s out of sight, out of mind for me… so really respect those peeps!)
One’s a final year medic who’s dating a doctor…been dating for about 2 years…so I guess bout time too!
And the last one’s a final year medic as well…

And I attended a friend’s wedding in July…she’s a coursemate…British…22 years old. Her husband’s 23. Such a good looking couple… tall, blond, slim. Will have beautiful kids. The wedding was like something out of the movies… coz all our friends are young and still in the bloom of youth, dressing up in pretty dresses and smart suits….drinking champainge in the hotel garden….lovely indeed.

Makes me feel melancholy….

My housemate was reading sappy romantic novels and was in a melancholy mood as well. In her words “The best thing I want right now is to make passionate love to the man I love.”

Hehehehe…. scandalous. She’s single too.

Anyway, feelings aside, IT’S GREAT BEING SINGLE!!!!!!

So best of everything to the engaged couples… as they approach the alter… of sacrifice
P.S. dont get me wrong, had a great summer… and recent amzing stuff’s been happening… but gotta go to a party now… that will be another post…which hopefully wont take too long to appear coz I JUST GOT A NEW LAPTOP!!! :)
