if i were a painter…

So yeah… this space’s been empty for some time… My 5 week holiday’s over (so yeah, back to the ‘real’ world). Prague was great.. beautiful buildings and all that.. very picturesque. But i’ve decided that going on holidays to look at buildings ain’t my cuppa tea. I’d much rather go for a beach holiday in the sun.. or camping somewhere in the jungle. Anyone going anywhere nice in June?? 

Last week i started my first block - orthopaedics. Been really interesting so far.. x rays, hip replacements, even saw an amputation. Surprisingly wasnt very grossed out at all. During the amputation, my consultant was hacking away at the tibia, first with a chisel, then with a gigli saw. The bit of bone finally came apart and flew onto the other surgeon’s shoulder. Not a very gentle operation. But wasnt as bad as i thought.. i think i must be quite used to chopping up chicken bones for my dogs that the sight of bones chopped up didnt bother me that much. Hmmm… sounds very macabre eh.. "GIRL HACKING AT BONE WITH SAW". But it’s not as gross as it sounds… might consider orthopaedics in the future… maybe. Think i prefer it to obs and gynae.. probably that was too.. emm… close for comfort..

Last week i got up at 630 am for most days. WOW. and slept relatively early.. man… felt like an older person. Then went to a party on fri and danced my calves sore.. still a bit sore now. So unfit:P getting old… another sign of age.. been rambling quite a bit now in this blog. This post isn’t meant to be inspirational or philosophical or even funny… in fact, if you’ve read till here, you must be really bored. Coz i’m boring myself out with my writing. heh:p

Bottomline, am having a jolly time:) spring is near… flowers are blooming… but IT’S SNOWING AGAIN. Crazy english weather…
